Palm Sunday

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and we will once again be joining with the Terrace Christian Reformed Church for an online worship service. You can easily find the video on our Church website.

In preparation for Palm Sunday we would invite you to consider cutting a few branches so that you can have them (maybe even wave them?) as we sing our Hosannas during the worship service. Terrace CRC has a fun tradition of waving cedar branches (Northern Palms) during their Palm Sunday services. Maybe parents could take some time before the service to gather some branches with your kids in preparation. You could also join a movement that is happening to put a 'palm' branch on your door or window this Palm Sunday as a way of being connected with the worldwide church as we enter Holy Week. Good Friday

Friday, April 10th is Good Friday. Traditionally we have gathered together with the churches of Terrace for a Good Friday Service. This year we aren't able to do that. However, plans are coming together for a special Good Friday service that will be available via YouTube. More information will be available about this service soon.

One of components of the Good Friday service is the celebration of communion. So, in preparation for our service, you are encouraged to make sure that you have some bread and grape juice on hand in your homes. If you aren't able to get those items, let Pastor Brad know and he'll help you out.

Giving Opportunities

We know that our Sunday morning offerings are meant to be a way to express our commitment and thanks to Jesus. We also understand that even though we aren't able to meet in-person the regular operating expenses continue. Julie, Zion's treasurer, is working on finding new ways for you to give to the ministry of Zion. For now, remember that:

You can give by cheque (drop it off at the church building or send it in the mail (2911 Sparks Street Terrace BC V8G 2T4)
You can give by cash (drop it off at the church building)
You can connect with Pastor Brad to come and use the debit machine in the church building
We're hoping to be able to accept e-transfers soon.
You can set aside whatever you choose to give and add it to the offering when we're able to start meeting face-to-face again.
